Job Description: RP/RP(Q) or RSW
TCB is hiring a therapist to join our team who is both motivated to grow their caseload and can offer flexibility and patience in the beginning stages of this process.
The ideal candidate will be able to offer both virtual sessions as well as in-person in Downtown Toronto. This position would begin as part-time while initially building a caseload (generally taking around 2-5 months), with the opportunity to move full-time.
We’re looking for the right fit for our community of clients, which includes someone who has lived experience with queer identity, neurodivergence, and/or moving through the world in a marginalized body.
Are you the right fit?
You have a private and confidential office space (in your home or otherwise), a high speed internet connection, and equipment that will help facilitate virtual sessions (laptop, headphones, etc.).
You are based in Toronto/GTA and open to offering in-person sessions.
You have lived experience with queerness, neurodivergence, and/or living in a marginalized body. Representation is an important aspect of our practice.
Your way of practicing aligns with our values on anti-oppression, harm reduction, body liberation, gender & neurodivergent affirming, and trauma-informed care.
You have the flexibility and openness to work at least one evening a week.
You are able to commit to one hour of clinical supervision per month.
You are motivated to build your caseload and open to collaboration to help facilitate this process.
You have a Masters-level or higher degree in Social Work or Psychotherapy, or are soon to graduate from a master's level program.
You are registered and in good standing with the CRPO or OCSWSSW, or you are eligible to apply post graduation from your program.
You have up-to-date professional liability insurance or you commit to having such insurance prior to your start date.
You have the willingness to independently set up or already have the infrastructure to work full time as an independent contractor. This includes the understanding that we do not pay into EI or any other taxes on your behalf.
What we offer…
Competitive fee split and transparency around where your split is going.
Flexibility around setting your hours and fees. We can collaborate to build a schedule that works well for you, but you will not be expected to reserve the exact same hours in your schedule each week.
One hour of clinical supervision a month and ongoing support in administrative needs.
Owl Practice, Psychology Today and Email support. We already have the infrastructure set up to support you as you build your caseload.
Access to in-person office space in Downtown Toronto.
Continuing education opportunities through group workshops.
Community and connection - opportunity for co-working and group outings.
Potential to participate in skillbuilding by co-leading workshops and group therapy.
